Wind on scene was a North Easterly force 2-3 with a Slight sea and Fair visibility.
RNLI Brighton Lifeboat was launched to a report of a missing person, thought to have entered the water between the Marina and the Palace Pier.
The volunteer crew from Brighton Lifeboat were quickly on scene, joined by land based units from Solent Coastguard and Sussex Police. Air support was provided by helicopter "Rescue 104" in addition to a military aircraft that was transitting the search area.
After an initial search sweep of the target area it was confirmed that the missing person had been located in hospital.
All units stood down and returned to station.
