Wind on scene was a South South Westerly force 3-4 with a Smooth sea and Good visibility.
RNLI Brighton Lifeboat was launched to assist in a search for a missing person who was thought to have possibly jumped from the Brighton Pier.

Sussex Police and Solent Coastguard conducted a land based search while the lifeboat searched underneath, around and between both piers.

After a thorough search with nothing found, Solent Coastguard requested that Brighton Lifeboat stand down and return to station.
